"Lonely Red Pear"

Oil on Board. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

I used a couple of old stiff bristled brushes for this one. I haven't used these brushes in well over a year. I typically use a soft flat #5 brush. It allows me to keep things loose yet still smear paint in a smooth fashion.

Here is an updated pic of Lucy, me, and my wife. They came to visit me at work on Halloween. She is a whopping 5 months now (Lucy that is) and is at a fun age...a real fun age.

Babies at that age are brilliant, those little personalities just blossom.
Love the pear...it's almost Christmassy...love it. Great light quality.

Adorable. You'll love this photo when she's 18! And nice job with the pear - is there anything better than a red pear?

Very cool... aren't you lucky?
Hey!! I see that Lucy has those Mary Janes on, doesn't she??
So do you usually prime your board with something before you paint... or just start painting right on the board?

Beautiful painting! And as for your precious daughter, trust me, each age is a fun age.
