"Resting Pear"

Oil on Board. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

You may know that I love painting pears. The way the light wraps around their unique shape. I love it. I thought this one especially interested on its side.

Nice reflective light in your shadows. Subtle, but strong.

I like the drama here. I think it does indeed create interest, and kind of have a narrative when the pear is on its side. Nice work, great subtle highlights.

I do like to see you paint pears. I have loved everyone of them. Do you think pears are interesting to paint because they have such a humanly (a word?) shape?

I see that most of your paintings has the "round" topic to it. I'm not a professional painter but I've been meaning to be one. Unsuccessful though.. :(
