This orange feels solid and strong. That's why i like it. I focused a lot on edges in this painting - mainly trying to keep them soft.

This is the best orange painting I've ever seen on the daily painter circuit....the dead on viewpoint is making the drawing of the unfurling fruit so dramatic visually...add to this the abstract line beneath it...the total effect is extrememly strong! A real knockout.....
I'm always checking in on your work and am a fan. I just had to say, spectacular! I love the glow around the top of the orange and the bold view of the fruit and blackish background make this a "male" orange for sure! LOL Great impact!!!!
To Dean Grey: Signature is at the bottom left corner but the image has been edited at seems to be darker than the original really is. Or Mr Naples used for his signature very dark colour. :-) Anyway I love his painting and his style. I would love to see that for real.
I was just contemplating painting th same type of composition. You have done a great job at capturing the textuures and colors of the orange. I just love yoru work...keep up the good work

Very photorealistic and yet still painterly to prevent it from being boring.
Such a wonderful and intense deep orange color. It stands out against the greenish-black background.
Nice combination of sharp and soft edges throughout. Subtle highlights here and there add to the realism of the piece.
But.....
Where is your signature? I don't see it anywhere. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
