"Black Crow"

Oil on 1/8" Gessoboard. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

In the mountains, we pulled up to a look out point. One of those views where you can see the entire horizon of gorgeous mountains. As soon as I stepped out of the car I saw this crow standing there and I had to snap a photo. It was the good lighting that caught my eye.

I LOVE this one, Mike!

The crow's body is soft in certain spots while sharp and detailed near the beak and feet. Awesome!

The entire background is super cool too. The background is muted but still filled with quite a few different colors. And the wild brushstrokes add movement to this piece.

This painting has such a moody, dramatic, and almost scary feel to it. Oh so neat!!

I really like this one.
You really know how to turn an ordinary object into a striking beauty!
Love the colors on the bird and blueish shadow as well as multi-gray background.
Very poetic expression!

Very nice. Something iconic about these creatures.

Love the loose painterly brushwork in these 3 most recent pieces!
