"Espresso with Mug and Spoon"

Oil on Board. Approx 20"x20" SOLD

Here is the reason why i didn't post anything last week. It's 20" square and took a bit longer then I thought it would. Now I have to get to work on a commission that has been sitting around way too long. Coming up in early March (which is next week already) I have a couple more of these 20x20's planned.

It's therapeutically beautiful Michael. I could look at it for hours.

Sheila said it "therapeutically" beautiful, have never heard that term. ?! (: Yes, it is! Calm, wonderful neutral colors, balanced composition, just delightful.

I love the subtle muted tones of this painting, and how you have created a warm glow around the cloth and in the background. Very beautiful and calming... even though the subject matter is FULL of caffeine!!! :-)

Michael this is beautifully done. From the subtle color/light shift in the background to the translucency in the napkin- elegant painting.

I follow your work, but never commented before. But I have to agree with all above and say this larger piece allows you to do your thing in a great way, pulling it all together. My favorite part is the where the light is filtering through the napkin right next to the cup. Awesome! I just love that deep gray/green in the background that you use so often.

Beautiful composition and the color combination of sand and sea makes it a winner!
