I am a painter from the Chicago area. I started this blog in August 06 to get back in the groove of painting. I feel I have grown tremendously as an artist since then and still feel I grow with each painting I do. Most daily paintings are oil on board, about 6”x6” or so. you've caught the background brush strokes in the glass! i've just finished some vases and realise some of my mistakes after looking at this. lovely piece of art, and a quick and easy after dinner recipe!
Outstanding. I really think this piece is awesome. Love the glass and the pear is perfect.
Lovely piece; I esp. like the highlight/light absorption on the side of the glass
