"Full Moon"

Oil on 1/4" Board. Approx 4.875"x6" SOLD.

I actually painted this one a couple of days ago, but did some finishing touches to it today. It was the perfect night and the moon was very bright (what, am I writing a poem here). Anyway, it looked good enough to paint.

The moving moon went up the sky.
And nowhere did abide;
Softly she was going up,
And a star or two beside-
S. T. Coleridge

That's a poem! : D

Gorgeous little nightscape.

I was directed to your site from someone on deviantArt. I've been coming daily since, but haven't commented until now.

I think this is a beautiful image. I love the expanse of the sky and the brush strokes on the horizon line. The glow around the moon is so soft, but bright. Great image.

Coincidentally, I saw a similar moon scene three nights ago here in L.A. and I thought, how beautiful the painting on your canvas in the sky is tonight, Lord. The aura encircling it was a bright yellow ochre color, though, reflecting on the clouds passing by. You really captured the sacred night atmosphere that the Lord painted on his canvas in the sky.
