Overflow

Oil on 1/8" Gessoboard. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

This is actually a Mother's Day gift for my Mom. It's a bit late but I couldn't find cherries anywhere at that time. Anyway I hope it's worth the wait, Mom.

I'm not your mom but I'd say it was definitely worth the wait.

Hi Michael, This is a particularly beautiful painting. Love the greys whites, and red, the metal is really beautifully rendered, the glipse of the cherries through the openings in the collender, all wonderful! Your Mother must be really touched. All good things to you, Aliaena

Well, all my thoughts were elequently written by Eliaena. So, I will just say "ditto". This is one of my most favorite paintings by you! Excellent work of love. Claudia

What a lovely gift! I especially like the tiny bits of cherries showing through the slits in the colander.

it's just all in a day's work for you, isn't it? Another day, another heartbreakingly mouthwateringly glorious arrangement of color and light

Fantastic cherries, Mike!

I love the composition. From the cropped bowl on the left to the fallen cherries near the center.

Great job on the cloth as well. Soft, subtle folds and creases add to the interest in this piece.

Full of depth, lively shadows throughout, and intense reds. What's not to love?

Hi Michael

Love the way you've painted the cherries here. Very delicately handled with a nice mix of hard and soft edges. Thanks.
