My wife's Dad worked as a switchman for the railroad for about 45 years. These are keys from there. If I'm not mistaken, the small one is the switch key and the long one is a caboose key.
I haven't posted much lately but that does not mean I haven't been painting. I have two more paintings to post but have to wait to post them. I also have another 20x20 painting in the works. I'm trying to expand my portfolio of 'large' work.

The keys look like real metal. Copper and silver. Not an easy thing to achieve if you think about it.
Nice colors too. The metallics of the keys go so nicely with the warm tans on the wall.
Everything has a wonderful aged, antique feel about it.
My only critique is that the shadow on the left key is almost as dark as the key itself, making it hard to see where everything begins and ends.
I realize the keys are old and probably don't reflect much light, but maybe lightening up the shadows a bit might show off their profile better(?).
Just a suggestion!
