Utility Pole In Sunset

Oil on 1/8" Gessoboard. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

I painted this utility pole once before. It is just at the edge of my back yard. I couldn't resist this with the pink sky. I don't use much pink in my paintings so this was a nice change. I really like how the power lines turned out.

Love this painting! The power lines make such interesting shapes across the sky. Really beautiful.

It's amazing how the most ordinary of things can become so beautiful in a painting, of course it all depends on who's wielding the brush. Gorgeous.

Michael..
I've seen a few of these lately and am once again amazed at how attractive such a mundane piece of our every day life can be.
As always.. well done!

Yes the pink sky is beautiful! What size brush did you use for the power lines?

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Adriana - I use a #5 w&n flat. I use it for everything. It allows me to get a thin line all the way to a thick stroke.
