"Sunlit Apples"

Oil on 1/8" Gessoboard. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

Not much to say about these apples besides they looked good in the sun. Good enough to eat.

Mike!

The title of this painting is key here.

The first thing to catch my eye about these apples is the way they're lit....no, the color of the lighting to be exact!

I LOVE the warm light hitting the apples from the side. Very unique look!

Was this actual sunlight though or did you cheat a bit and use a warm-colored light?

Either way it's very dramatic and soothing at the same time.

Just great!

Wow, I love the warmth of this one. Going lighter and warmer is always a challenge for me.

Nice work, Michael, apples in summer sun and I can almost smell and touch them.
