Antique Soda Cap

Oil on 1/4" Board. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

I absolutely loved painting the detail in this crate in the background. This is kind of a warm up to a 12x12 I am doing for a group show in Atlanta in September. Now I can't wait to start that one. Too bad I have a couple of others in line before it. Oh...any ideas what kind of crate that is in the background? Or is that a dumb question?

I like the overall antique effect of this painting. The color, light and detail are charming.

Yep, it's a Coke crate, but I didn't notice that until I read your question. If you're wanting it to be imediately identifiable, I suggest that you put more of the logo into the scene.

Thanks everyone.
Susan, the next one is the "immediately identifiable" one. That's the one for the group show.

Another great painting ~ taking ordinary objects and making them extraordinary!

Charming! Love the composition and the beat up crate! I chose this as my favorite painting today on Rosa's Picks. I hope you'll come by and check it out! Thanks, Rosa

Thanks for letting us see such a high resolution of the painting. I was enthralled with the details of the soda cap. I couldn't stop looking at it.

Great painting, I love the multiple colors in the crate and the simplicity of the composition.
I have one general question: All your daily paintings are done in oil and ready to be purchased immediately. How do you ship them even though the oil takes weeks to dry? Or do you work in advance and post them when the paintings are cured?
