Oil on Board. Approx 6"x6" SOLD

When I saw this pair of shoes at the store, I had to get them. Lucy looks so cute in them. They have such a classic look to them.

  3. If this doesn't have a busy auction, then people are crazy! Anyone who's had a daughter who is now grown up will instantly create an emotional attachment to this one. Nice job.

  4. Really nice, Mike. The deep blacks, glossy reflections and clarity of light are luscious. Not to mention my two daughters who once wore similar shoes!

  5. I thought the Avacado series was stunning. And they are, but there is just something about these shoes and the way in which you painted them. This is a classic and so far my favorite of yours. You are what I'm shooting for. Everything about your work completes it for me, I look forward to every post. Thank you.

  9. This is wonderful. Besides the precious image you have created on canvas, there are definitely many more popping up in the minds of us viewers. Mine is a toddler girl in a poofy dress, dancing and dancing and dancing. :~)

  14. Only just discovered this fantastic painting and LOVE it for all the reasons mentioned already above. I especially like the way you have caught the "thickness" of the material - you are such a good painter!

  15. I'm very pleased to have received the "Mary Janes" in the mail today. THANKS!!
Even though I will eventually give the painting to my daughter-in-law, for as long as I can, I will savor it, study it, and strive to figure out how you manage to create such beauty with such simple lines and gorgeous paint strokes.
Do you suppose if I keep it under my pillow, the essense of your talent and long hours of study will somehow osmose my way??? ;o)Don't I wish!)
