This is the moment when the sun has just about set but it's not totally dark out yet and the moon is completely illuminated by the sun. The cresent shape of the moon from last night added a lot to the scene. This is post number 214 for my Daily Painting blog.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm going to give it a try and keep at it. Unfortunately, I paint so slow and will need to speed up.
As someone who loves nocturnes and tries on a regualr basis to do one I have to say this is fabulous. The moment... you definitely captured the moment - the not-quite dark moonrise. Great.
