Books and Corks

Oil on Board. Approx 10"x8" SOLD

Another fresh piece for Susan Powell Fine Art. I bought these books at the resale shop and I gut them for the ripped up condition they were in. I felt like I was doing a portrait of them by wanting to capture the character they had.

Me too. I can feel the dust on the books and smell the corks. Nice work!

Love the soft color of your palette in this one. And who would have thought of books and corks? But they go so well together. I can just imagine you moving them around and adjusting their positions for the best composition. Wonderful!
