Asparagus (left)

Oil on 1/8" Board. Approx 6"x6"

Here is the sister painting to yesterday's. This photo is probably a bit more accurate. This show how inconsistent my old camera is. A little secret, though...I have a new, better camera coming soon. Trust me when I say I can't wait for that.

Hi, I occasionally stalk your blog. I really like the lighting in this painting. Asparagus is my favorite vegetable. I grew it last summer at first you plant the roots they kind of look like spiders, and then a couple of weeks later you get these sexy spears, thank you for capturing the sexiness of the asparagus!

Mike!

Out of the two paintings, I like the previous asparagus painting a bit better for some reason.

This latest one is much brighter in appearance and that asparagus head looks almost like an insect hand ready reach out and grab me!

Eeek!

Still lovely though!

Beautiful painting. Delicate touch and the box is especially remarkable. Question - what type of camera are you getting? Mine is getting old and I've struggled with how do best photograph work. Love to hear your thoughts.

Just found your blog this morning because of hours spent wandering through o.p.b. (other people's blogs).......Love your work! Wish you could expand your challenge group as I love the creative thinking that goes on when each of you paint!

There is so much about your work I love. I don't get here enough to tell you how much I enjoy what you do, so I've given you the "Sunshine Award." If you want to accept it, instructions are on my blog. :)
