Antique Auto

Oil on 1/8" Board. Approx 8"x8" SOLD

I took a quick snapshot of this car out front of church a few Sundays ago. As soon as we pulled up and I saw that car, I said to myself "I'm gonna paint that car". Here it is.

WOW This is really super. Great job, love the cropping, color, brushwork, and the way you softened some of the edges...Love it!!!

This is phenomenal. I really like the balance between the soft background and the harder edges of the car.

Hi Michael,
I live in the Ottawa area, Canada.
I look forward to having my morning coffee and absorbing your daily paintings. I am a painter myself. One of these fine days, when I have some extra dough...I'm going to buy one of your wonderful works!! For now, I'll continue being inspired by your little treasures.
All the best,
Kim

This is great. I love the background: simplified but w/ lots of brushstrokes, and the composition.

Very cool, Mike!

I can see why you wanted to paint this.

Smart composition. The car looks more interesting from a cropped, close-up view IMHO.

The blues are wonderfully regal as well!

Real nice, Michael. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Nice composition too. Keep up the great work.

I think your choice of background color solidly places this in an upscale male office/den setting. An extremely attractive painting!

I love everything about this painting. Did someone actually DRIVE this to church? Glad you thought quickly and got a photo...

From burritos to antique cars - is there anything you won't paint?! You do such a beautiful job on a wide range of subject matter - is there anything you think you would never paint?
