I just bought this silver bowl last week even though I said to myself that I wasn't going to buy new still life items until I painted more of my current (but not yet painted) stash. I really like how it looks and will definitely use it in the future.

I am a painter from the Chicago area. I started this blog in August 06 to get back in the groove of painting. Michael, this is lovely! Very contemporary! Love that highlight on the edge of the bowl.
Now I know what the expression means, "It took my breath away." I gasped as this image came to my screen. It took my breath away. So lovely, beautifully observed shadows. Love that silver bowl.
