"Podium Pear"

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Oil on 1/4" Board. Approx. 7" x 12" SOLD.

I really enjoyed painting this one. The pear came together easily and the fabric was a great challenge. I spent about ten minutes modeling the fabric to be just right. It plays an important role in the painting's composition.

I love the fluidiness (is that a word?)in your brush strokes of your draped cloth.

Do you use a glazing technique in this painting or not? Stunning!

I love paintings of fabric with folds in it like this one and the one with the red fabric and the deep green apple. Its one of my favourite subjects.
