Back to the old egg again. It's probably one of the most challenging subjects for me but I love painting them. Pretty much everything is translucent...even the shell allows light to pass through it. This is post number 169 in my Daily Painting blog. I will be working on a large commission for a few days but will post WIP's.

I am a painter from the Chicago area. I started this blog in August 06 to get back in the groove of painting. Wow! This is just stunning... a real traffic stopper. I love the way you've caught the rosy translucency of the shell and those reflections are really wonderful. And it's all so painterly with well chosen brush strokes.. keep it up!
