"Plum Pear"
Oil on 1/4" Board, 6"x6". SOLD.
We had a swift storm yesterday that knocked my phone connection out. That's means I have no DSL connection. Talk about feeling disconnected. Anyway my posts may be staggered because I to post my image where ever i can find internet. This is post number 175 on my Daily Painting blog.

"Creased Pear"
Oil on 1/4" Board, 6"x6". For purchase info, please email michael@mnaples.com
So I'm back from my break. It was much needed and I feel refreshed. I saw this pear in the store today and had to get it. It had this 'butt crack' looking crease (I hope that doesn't sound too gross) in it that looked so unique. I like the little reflected light on the inside of the crease.

New Portrait
"Grape Glass"
Oil on 1/4" Masonite, 16"x20". Commission - NFS
This is part of the reason I haven't been posting consistently lately. It's a commission that's the largest painting I've done is quite some time (the most detailed one, also). I love how it turned out. I made one of my frame boxes like I did with "Pinot" about a month ago. I have one more commission to finish up and will post that late tomorrow. Stay tuned!

"Cracked Egg No.6"
Oil on 1/8" Masonite, 6"x6". SOLD.
Back to the old egg again. It's probably one of the most challenging subjects for me but I love painting them. Pretty much everything is translucent...even the shell allows light to pass through it. This is post number 169 in my Daily Painting blog. I will be working on a large commission for a few days but will post WIP's.

"Sunset on the Seascape"
Oil on 1/8" Masonite, 5"x6". SOLD.
I have made a number of new art friends since starting this blog. One of which I got this photo from. Her name is Lynne and you should check out her blog.
One of the things I like so much about Daily Painting is that it gives you courage to attempt different subject matters that you normally wouldn't try. I figure, if I don't like the painting, there is always tomorrow. I happen to like this painting and I'm glad I chose this subject.
