This scene is taking right behind my house. We back up to some tracks and forest area which has a lot of wildlife. Anyway, I snapped this shot of this train that was parked. I liked the composition it produced and how the colors worked together.

I decided to do kind of an exercise today. I pledged to keep the timing on this painting to 1 hour...and stuck to it. I am trying to work quicker and more efficiently without sacrificing the painting. I wanted to focus on contrast, composition and color and feel it's successful in all three of those categories.
