This is a painting I am entering in a Naperville Art League competition. The theme is "Forwards, Backwards". I used the gears in this piece to depicted the theme. When one gear rotates clockwise the next gear it touches turns counter clockwise. Entries are due March 3rd. Wish me luck.

Today is post number 100! It has been a fantastic journey so far. I can't wait to see where the next 100 will take me. This daily painting challenge has been extremely fulfilling to me as an artist. I need to take care of some side work that is building up so I might not be as consistent in the next week and a half with my daily paintings.
