"Gears of Time"
Oil on 1/2" Board, 6"x12". NFS...for now
This is a painting I am entering in a Naperville Art League competition. The theme is "Forwards, Backwards". I used the gears in this piece to depicted the theme. When one gear rotates clockwise the next gear it touches turns counter clockwise. Entries are due March 3rd. Wish me luck.

"Jelly Beans"
Oil on 1/2" Board, 6"x5" SOLD.
Today is post number 100! It has been a fantastic journey so far. I can't wait to see where the next 100 will take me. This daily painting challenge has been extremely fulfilling to me as an artist. I want to thank my buyers and subscribers for keeping me going mentally. I do appreciate the support.

"Diner Mug"
Oil on 1/2" Board, 6"x6". SOLD.
I aquired this mug a couple weeks ago and couldn't wait to paint it. I must admit, it was more challenging then I thought. I tip my hat to the 'mug master' Neil Hollingsworth.

Update
I need to take care of some side work that is building up so I might not be as consistent in the next week and a half with my daily paintings. And, of course, I will post the other work I am doing which includes some freelance illustrative work, a painting for an upcoming competition and a couple of commissioned paintings. Thanks for your patience.

This scene is taking right behind my house. We back up to some tracks and forest area which has a lot of wildlife. Anyway, I snapped this shot of this train that was parked. I liked the composition it produced and how the colors worked together.

"Lemon on Blue"
Oil on 1/2" Board, 6"x5". SOLD.
I decided to do kind of an exercise today. I pledged to keep the timing on this painting to 1 hour...and stuck to it. I am trying to work quicker and more efficiently without sacrificing the painting. I wanted to focus on contrast, composition and color and feel it's successful in all three of those categories.

Here are a couple paintings I did for a friend who wanted 'his' and 'hers' paintings. It's a neat concept and I think these go well together.
