This is the third painting of "Bottle of Black Beam" which completes the series. This is what all three look like together.
I like these three and think they go well together. I have the next series in the concepting stage. Stay tuned.

This scene is taking right behind my house. We back up to some tracks and forest area which has a lot of wildlife. Anyway, I snapped this shot of this train that was parked. I liked the composition it produced and how the colors worked together.

I decided to do kind of an exercise today. I pledged to keep the timing on this painting to 1 hour...and stuck to it. I am trying to work quicker and more efficiently without sacrificing the painting. I wanted to focus on contrast, composition and color and feel it's successful in all three of those categories.

Here are a couple paintings I did for a friend who wanted 'his' and 'hers' paintings. It's a neat concept and I think these go well together.

Another commissioned portrait. I am still working like a dog to get my Holiday orders completed, but the rest I can hand deliver (as opposed to leaving time for shipping).

Here is the second commission portrait of the season which is actually a group of four portraits. I have been diligently working to get my Holiday orders completed and still have 2 more to go. I will be posting that in the near future. After that it's back to the paints. It's been a nice break but it will feel good to get back into color.

Here is a painting I have been putting some time into lately. For the next couple of weeks I will be working on Holiday commissions that are beginning to pile up. I will post each commission when completed and will also work in some daily paintings when time allows. Thanks for your patience and stay tuned.
